Your talent makes the difference for AAP!
AAP Animal Advocacy and Protection is a European animal welfare organization committed to a better future for exotic mammals. We do this by sheltering primates, lions, tigers and other exotic mammals in need while advocating for better laws throughout Europe. This is how we prevent animal suffering!
AAP has two rescue centres: one in Almere (the Netherlands) and one in Villena (Spain). The animals in our rescue centres have different backgrounds: they were victims of illegal trade, exploited in the entertainment industry or kept as pets while not suitable. With a professional team, we help the animals recover as best we can. Once they have recovered, we look for a nice place for them at one of our outplacement partners, such as a sanctuary or zoo.
In Almere we work with about 100 (paid) employees and more than 200 volunteers. We work at a spacious and modern location in the middle of Almere's greenery. Our office and facility center are on the same grounds as where we take in the animals; nowhere can you see the results of your work so directly on a daily basis as with us. Villena employs 28 (paid) people and 16 volunteers.
We cannot do this important work without the commitment of a professional team as well as the financial support of our donors. Therefore, we are always looking for talented professionals who want to make an impact with their expertise.
